Specifications - Intrumed's Face Shield System

The Face Shield System is designed to protect both patient and health care professional from
accidental exposure to blood and other body fluids. The face shield does not preclude the use ofsurgical face masks.

Face Shields available: Regular Size (7.5" x 13.4")

The Headgear Frame Assembly is available in Regular Size with a 25" Headband and in Extra Large Size with a 26" Headband.

NON-STERILE SHIELDS
The non-sterile disposable face shields are for use in those patient care areas where sterile
technique is not implemented. This configuration is ideal for use in ICU, CCU, Radiology,
Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Laboratory, Pathology, Dentistry and general floor use.

STERILE SHIELDS
The sterile disposable face shields should be used in those areas where sterile technique is
utilized or with compromised high-risk patients.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Familiarize yourself with the four adjustments of the headgear:
1) frame tilt tension (knobs at side of frame)
2) tilt stop clip (inside headgear, left side)
3) head size circumference (knob at back of headgear)
4) head size vertically (adjustable over-the-head band)

Don the headgear frame and make adjustments as necessary for best fit and comfort. The weight of the helmet should be carried by the over-the-headband (adjust this band first). Adjust the circumferential band for light comfortable pressure (black knob), do not over tighten. Tilt tension and tilt stop have been pre-set for you, but may be readjusted if desired.

Attach the clear face shield (either sterile or non-sterile) to the white headgear frame assembly by aligning the Velcro strips of the headgear assembly and the shirld. Press firmly.

NOTE: After use, remove the face shield and dispose as contaminated.

Quick Tilt-up As Needed
The Face Shield System offers a convenient "tilt-up" mechanism for flexability during use.

Shields Available Sterile or Non-Sterile
Individual face shields are available in cartons of ten. Please specify non-sterile or sterile shields.
